Video-Miles® is a software solution, automatically measuring and monitoring all carbon saved, all
costs saved, people hours recovered, the ability to drive, measure and monitor utilisation and
performance statistics affording empowerment and decision making data to all users of
Videoconferencing
• What are the different components of The Visual Environment Limited
integrated solution and who is providing them?
The Video-Miles® has three main elements; 1. The Fetchit™ is a piece of software that sits on
the customer site, without intrusion to their network and or infrastructure polling all the end-points
for the required information. 2. The Video-Miles® secure server; this is where the Fetchit™ sends
all the captured data to be analysed (instantly) producing all the key decision making facts and
figure regarding the performance of the whole VC network and or each individual licensed endpoint.
Data includes all carbon saved, costs saved, utilization statistics and performance detail.
The Video-Miles® software solution has been designed and developed from scratch by the Visual
Environment Limited only. The solution works seamlessly with all manufactures systems and
infrastructure products.. The Video-
Miles® works with or without manufactures management software

• Is Video-Miles® a software or hardware solution?
It is a software solution
• What makes the data produced accurate?
The Video-Miles® has all the necessary variables integrated into the software. For
travel distance and cost the world has been mapped, zoned and costed. Each location
of registered end-points is mapped office to actual destination to give the data required
for accurate calculation. DEFRA (Department for Food and Rural Affairs) values are
integrated and updated to provide accurate conversions of carbon kg/mile. All
information is updated as and when changes occur or values change.
• What is the Video-Miles® system scalability?
The Video-Miles programme, servers and infrastructure can support an Infinite number
of users.
• Is the Video-Miles® upgradable?
Yes, the software will continue to be developed. Upgrades to include graphical display
and presentation of data are on-going. Increases in benefits will be offered to users as
a chargeable upgrade. As and when environmental equations and values change, the
software will be updated and added to as soon as our software engineers have audited
and tested the new information.
